Tie-Dye?

I decided to try my hand at it yesterday. I took a forgotten pair of white cropped pants from the back of my closet and dyed them fuschia, and I must say that I am very pleased with the results. I tried to dye a pair of tights too, but they ended up looking pretty wretched. The dye didn't take to the material very well, and as it turns out, yellow dye and green dye do not make blue dye. They make a yellowish/greenish/vomitish dye. I'll spare you a picture.

This afternoon as I was blog surfing and turning ideas over in my head as to what to wear with my creation, I came across these pictures on a cute little blog called Fashion School Dropout of Alison Mosshart wearing a similar looking bleached pair.

Whoooaaa, crazy. I LOVE Alison Mosshart. I had the chance to see The Kills at Mercy Lounge back in May, and they were phenomenal. Alison radiates a sort of cool confidence that translates very well into her wardrobe. And like I said, their music's not bad either.
