Words

"From the whole she deduced this useful lesson, that to go previously engaged to a ball, does not necessarily increase either the dignity or enjoyment of a young lady."

If I Was A Boy...

I would be all over this. Why am I not seeing more males walking around in fringe, floral, and fur? I don't necessarily mean see as in see with my own eyes in the physical world because I'm from the south (Nashville, a.k.a. hipster central, to be more specific), and boys don't dress like that down here. But why am I not seeing men decked out in Ann Demeulemeester all over the streets of London and Paris here in the blogosphere? This is without a doubt one of the best men's collections I've ever seen. I think it's definitely good enough to stand next to her women's collection, which was my favorite from Fall 2008. Now that I think about it... why am I not seeing more of Ann D.'s women's collection on the streets? I mean, yes, Balmain is superb, but the printed jeans and fringed booties are getting a bit old... aren't they? Time for something new, yeah?

Chérie

I literally gasped when I pulled up Garance today and saw Clémence Poésy staring back at me. She's got to be one of the most beautiful women on the face of the planet. She is the absolute epitome of french chic. It makes me restless. I'd like to be in Paris very much right now, but alas, I must resort to scanning Garance and watching the Miss Dior Chérie commercial over and over. And over. Why oh why must I have been born in the States?

I'm Back

Finals are over. I am home. Regular posting will resume shortly.

Finals?

But... I just want to shop for a living. And dance. I would really just like to dance. I blame Nashville Nights completely. Joseph's been posting some pretty fat beats lately that have been successfully distracting me from writing the British Lit paper I have to turn in tomorrow.
