Patrick Wolf?

Where have you been? I used to love you, and then you went away, and then I forgot about you. And what are you wearing? I kind've like it. I kind've feel like it's something Queen Michelle would wear. Anyway, hope you're doing well. Put out some more pretty music soon, please.

Tights

Browsing UrbanOutfitters.com, I realized just how badly I need to update my hosiery drawer. My opaque black tights are looking pretty ratty. From left to right:

By the way, Nashville people, Urban Outfitters opens March 26th. Mark your calendars. Or don't and go a week later because it's probably going to be a madhouse.

More Serge and Jane

Because they're hot.

Ice Queen

I'm stunned by these pictures of Mary-Kate for Interview. She looks so beautiful and cold and... dead? I like them a lot. I'm excited for the March issue to hit the stands. I'm also really liking that Balenciaga number on her. Before I saw these photos I had already been feeling like the spring collection was being pushed pretty aggressively recently. It's working, I suppose. I wasn't a huge fan of the collection at first, but I've really started to take a liking to the pale futuristic frocks that opened up the show. Not quite sold on the footwear, though. I say footwear because I'm still not entirely sure what's going on down there.

These two know what's up:

Casual, carefree, chic. So much work. So much reading. There are literally not enough hours in the day. I'm living for Sonic happy hours and weekends.

Words

"Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley

I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said--"Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desart. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tel that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings,
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away."
