You're kidding me, right? It's bad enough putting Paris Hilton on your cover at all, but putting her on the cover of the America issue? That makes me want to punch you. I'm not sure what your aim was here. By using Paris to represent America, what emotion were you trying to instill in us? Pride or shame? Needless to say, I'm very disappointed in you. I might as well have picked up the November issue of Cosmopolitan.

Here Comes the Bride

Can we just talk about how much I love this lacy creamish concoction from Catherine Holstein's spring collection? Is it a dress and a jacket? Or maybe just a dress? I don't know, but I love it, and I want to be married in it, or at least something similar to it. I mean, I've got a good five to ten years to think about it, though. I'll probably end up wearing something that is nothing like this at my wedding, but right now I want to be married in this dress.

The rest of the collection is quite good too. You should give it a look.

Retired?!

This so better be a nasty rumor. No, I'm not talking about her engagement to Pete Doherty. That rumor, unfortunately, is very true.

Beck Is Sexy

I've been listening to Beck's new album so much. Today I told a friend that Beck was sexy. I meant his voice, of course, but then I looked up pictures from some of his more recent shoots, and he really is sexy... in my opinion at least. Sexy and very, very odd.

It's probably the hair that does it for me. Yes, I'm positive it's the hair. It's always the hair. What do you think? Sexy, yeah?

Oh, Irina

I remember the first time I ever saw Canadian/Romanian model Irina Lazareanu. I was flipping through shots from Proenza Schouler's Fall 2006 show on Style.com when I came across this picture of her sitting backstage. The first thing that caught my eye was the hardware on her boots because I'd been looking for a similar pair forever (never found them), but when I actually looked at her, ohhhh my. I had never really been intrigued by a model, but her perfect fringe (at a time when fringe couldn't be found on every other forehead) and androgynous style won me over. She's a total bohemian rocker. So that's how my love affair with Irina began. I realized today, however, that I hadn't seen any new pictures of her recently so I decided to do a little searching on the Fashion Spot forums, and of course, there she was, beautiful as ever. She will forever and always be my favorite model.
